Your Weekend Forecast: 8th April

Unfortunately summer can’t last forever, but as we dust off our winter attire, the trusty 6am thermometer is still detecting some serious heat ahead of this weekend.

Friday 8th

Endless Sunset w/Eleventeen Eston @ Hugs and Kisses

The last Endless Sunset event we checked out saw Ruf Dug take the reigns and the music rocked hard. Up this time around is tropical beatsmith Eleventeen Eston, whose laid back atmospheric productions always go down a treat. Also on the bill are the likes of Bayu, Kanzo, Sanpo Disco and Orca Deejay.

Luxury w/Catlips @ Lounge

One of Perth’s hottest talents Catlips takes centre stage for fresh party Luxury this Friday. Drawing influences from across the electronic spectrum, Catlips’ sound is unique and hard to pin down, a quality exemplified with her latest production Silver Smoke, a blend of melodic chimes, cosmic vocal samples and raw 808 claps. Catch this emerging talent at Lounge this Friday.

Saturday 9th

Mania @ Lounge

Good Company Records is a label on the rise. One of the imprint’s leading lights, Hugo Gerani, brings that Perth feel to Melbourne this weekend to head up proceedings for Mania. In support is Ricci, a selector who knows his records (his set at Inner Varnika proved a personal favourite). Also in tow are long term residents Sleep D and our very own 6am at the Garage.

Yaldi Boomtime 4th Birthday @ Dr Morse

Honey Dijon’s set for Yaldi’s last event was a stormer. This time the outfit returns for their 4th Birthday, once again taking over the Dr Morse Courtyard from some Saturday shenanigans. This one’s kicking off nice and early with music from 2pm, so be sure to make a day of it.

Sunday 10th

Wax’O Paradiso Presents Rainbow Fish W/San Soda @ Shadow Electric (SOLD OUT)

Things are getting aquatic in Abbotsford this Sunday as the prevalent party makers Wax’o Paradiso round up a busy summer with one final party. Heading proceedings is Belgium native San Soda whose eclectic selections are sure to raise the roof at Shadow Electric. With Simon TK and Edd Fisher in support, this one looks pretty stellar. Only drag, its already sold out so get ready to the Facebook event for a golden ticket.
